The goal of the first guess is to eliminate as many letters as possible. You want words rich in vowels (A, E, I, O, U) and common consonants (R, S, T, L, N).

Top Opener Candidates

1. ADIEU: Clears out 4 vowels immediately. Very popular.
2. RAISE: Good mix of vowels and common consonants.
3. STARE: Targets the most common consonants and 'A', 'E'.
4. CRANE: Often cited by bots as mathematically optimal.

Hard Mode Tips

In Hard Mode, you must use revealed hints in subsequent guesses.

• Don't just reuse the same opener if it doesn't fit.
• Focus on finding consonants if you already have the vowels.
